Purpose:

     For this project we have been given the Smith Family house to design an addition to their house designed by architect Richard Meier. We were specifically requested to respect the integrity of the original design but to design an addition that has our own spin on it. A new master suite, family room and formal outdoor area are required for this new space.

Narrative:

Derrick and Yolanda are a young couple who bought the smith house not too long ago. The couple work together as Derrick is a  monster truck derby driver while Yolanda works on designing monster truck wheels and rims for her husband. They watch a lot of Derrick's shows in the family room  to work on designs to see which are the best for Derrick’s performances. They love getting their rest after long days of designing so their bedroom is very important to them since that's where they are at peace the most.
